Spain’s No. 1 lubricant brand – Repsol wanted to enter the Indian market. Emerging into our market, which was then dominated by the leader – Castrol, was challenging. But we weren’t going to settle till we fought tooth and nail to be a step ahead. Studying the market trend, brand advantages and going over the mechanics’ point of view, we decoded the positioning as ‘Champions’ Choice’ and carried out a launch event that still earns praise from many today.
